BlueMind’s autumn update: a year of acceleration and what lies ahead

Share

Autumn is here, following a year of transition marked by strong growth, many new clients, projects and partners and, above all, broad confirmation that BlueMind’s positioning directly addresses what organisations need today to move away from Microsoft email.
The clearest evidence is that demand for BlueMind more than doubled in 2026 and continues to accelerate. This autumn update is an opportunity to take stock of what we have achieved, explain how BlueMind has prepared for this growth and share what comes next.

What the market really wants: respecting how people work

The reasons for moving away from Microsoft are well understood. Sovereignty matters, but price increases and an unpredictable pricing trajectory are what ultimately drive the decision. Once a project begins, the focus quickly shifts to users and their day-to-day needs: email must continue to work as it did before.

More than seven in ten professionals now work in a Microsoft environment. Migration therefore involves much more than replacing one email server with another. Outlook, calendars, delegation, shared mailboxes and certain business processes are part of teams’ everyday working lives. Users have learnt to work with these tools and have neither the time nor necessarily the desire to change their habits.

A successful migration must allow them to keep working without having to learn new tools or rely on additional applications to replace established business processes.

Work in progress - BlueMind UX

This has been the purpose of BlueMind’s work for several years: to focus on real-world usage, with users and operational and business requirements at the heart of our strategy.

  • User requirements. The number-one requirement everywhere is to keep using Outlook exactly as users know it. BlueMind is the only solution to have achieved this. We support Outlook’s advanced features, including delegation and collaborative Exchange-style shared mailboxes, MailTips and more, both in Outlook and in webmail, making transitions easier.
  • Operational requirements. Turning projects into reality means providing comprehensive migration tools, advanced integration with the information system, coexistence and transition management, deployment support and more, so that projects can be delivered under acceptable conditions.

This approach is translating into a growing number of projects. Numerous cities, including Marseille, as well as hospitals, departments, public bodies such as INSEE and ANTAI, several ministries and many companies, including the LaForêt Group, have chosen BlueMind.

The market has taken notice. In recent months, BlueMind has been named a Systematic Champion, recognised at the Trophées de la Mêlée and presented with Orange Business’s Best Partner award. The media have picked up on the trend too, with extensive coverage of BlueMind.

Most importantly, demand for BlueMind more than doubled in 2026!

Closer than ever to users

In 2026, BlueMind’s Customer Success teams launched the BlueMind User Club, a new forum that brings together clients from local authorities, public bodies and businesses to discuss product developments and practices observed in the field.

The success of the first events, held in Paris and then Marseille, with a particular focus on the new calendar currently in development, confirmed just how keen clients and users are to contribute to the product’s continuous improvement and ensure it addresses a growing range of use cases. In email, even the smallest functional difference compared with the dominant solutions can become a deal-breaker.

A partner network built for growth

BlueMind is also growing alongside everyone helping us build a sovereign digital landscape. Several partners are seeing demand for BlueMind soar, while requests to join our partner network have multiplied. Serious integrators, hosting providers and digital sovereignty specialists see BlueMind as the email solution that finally meets their clients’ needs.

Solutions from our technology partners that embed BlueMind email directly within a broader collaboration environment are also gaining momentum. These include My’BSuite (FactorFX), Hexagone (Interstis), LiveCollaboration (Orange Business) and W’Sweet (Worteks).

A new offer: SaaS for partners

Our partner ecosystem will expand further with our forthcoming SaaS offer. Scheduled for late 2026, it will enable partners specialising in consulting, support and digital transition to offer BlueMind’s sovereign solution to their clients without having to manage the underlying infrastructure and platforms.

Des équipes et des méthodes à l’échelle industrielle

Twice as many enquiries, more partners, more projects and larger deployments: our positioning is resonating and momentum is set to accelerate further. We need to keep pace, which is why BlueMind’s teams are growing too.

BlueMind passed the milestone of 50 employees dedicated to email in 2026. We are continuing to recruit across development, services, sales, product marketing, Customer Success, security and our forthcoming SaaS offer.

Our offices were becoming too small to contain our ambitions. In early July 2026, BlueMind therefore moved its headquarters to brand-new premises twice the size in Data Valley, Occitanie’s landmark digital technology building.

Power is nothing without control

But growth is not just about adding desks and people. Joining BlueMind means choosing methodical, long-term development over chasing the spotlight. It means favouring a clear, consistent strategy over a race to collect buzzwords, substance over showmanship, and working together to build the best possible product: useful, durable and designed to last. BlueMind is a hive that builds quality for the long term, not a stable for unicorns.

As the number of projects and clients increases, we need to support more clients and partners, manage many migrations and deployments concurrently, and deploy BlueMind on an even larger scale. Industrialisation and quality are at the heart of our work and are essential to supporting our growth.

Our autumn agenda also extends beyond the Rhine

The factors driving enthusiasm for BlueMind in France can also be found in other European countries. BlueMind’s launch in Germany in 2026 is showing considerable promise. Our success at the Nextcloud Summit in Munich and at Lmbit’s NordBit event confirms the strong appetite for BlueMind, particularly because no German email solution currently allows Microsoft users to keep working in the way they are used to.

Several major Microsoft integrators have recognised BlueMind as the answer to growing demand from their clients and have become partners. Driven by demand, particularly from partners, we will continue to step up our investment in Germany to establish BlueMind quickly as the solution that turns digital sovereignty goals and plans to move away from Microsoft into reality.

Collaborative email

In 2026, versions 5.5, 5.6 and 5.7 continued the work begun with BlueMind 5 on user requirements and the ability to deliver large-scale migrations from Exchange and Microsoft 365.

BlueMind 5.5 expanded support for familiar Microsoft features, including Exchange-style shared mailboxes, delegation, unified tags across Outlook and webmail, and MailTips. Subsequent versions have continued to build on this foundation, both in Outlook and in BlueMind’s web application.

These developments are underpinned by in-depth work on hundreds of behaviours that are often part of everyday life but can be critical at organisational level. This breadth of functional coverage enables BlueMind to meet the needs of the most demanding and complex projects and allows even the largest organisations to migrate without disrupting established tools or working habits.

Our current development priorities are already shaping what comes next:

  • Going even further in supporting how people work to remove every functional barrier and introduce new features that advance the state of the art.
  • Alongside extending AI scenarios that improve productivity, the ongoing redesign of the Calendar to deliver the best and most feature-rich calendar on the market is one of our major projects and a key focus of the User Club.
  • Continuously simplifying every stage of implementation, including migration and preparation, deployment, access configuration and support. Every constraint or friction point can undermine a project, delay it or even cause it to be cancelled.
  • Improving resilience and integration with broader collaboration solutions.

Digital Crisis

The dedicated Digital Crisis offer is also gaining momentum. This emergency communication solution enables crisis teams to maintain operational communication channels when their primary information system becomes unavailable, particularly following a cyberattack.

The need for resilience is growing, and Digital Crisis is becoming part of an increasing number of projects. The solution is regularly integrated into broader crisis preparedness and management arrangements. BlueMind is continuing to strengthen its collaboration with AUCAE, whose platform covers the full crisis management cycle: preparation, training and crisis coordination. Together, the two solutions give organisations a comprehensive resilience framework for crisis situations.

To conclude…

By unlocking the main barrier to moving email away from Microsoft, BlueMind has set everything in motion. Stronger teams, new offices, sharply rising demand and business figures, expanding integrator partnerships and broader solutions incorporating BlueMind, as well as a rapid launch in Germany: 2026 has already delivered on many promises.

Everything is now in place for this to be only a taste of what is coming in 2027.
